Family, Friends, FAITH.
It's what's important.
It's who we are.

Our Vision: Christ calls us to be a caring, praying community, working actively to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Our Mission: Our mission is to love and obey God, to follow Jesus, and through the power of the Holy Spirit, to share with our community God's love, forgiveness, and unmerited favor. We seek to become a transforming and reconciling force for God through our worship, study, fellowship and service. We strive for everyone to have a relationship with the living Jesus.
  • We come together as the family of God to worship Him.
  • Our faith in Jesus permeates and affects every aspect of our lives.
  • God calls us to be a family of believers in Silicon Valley.
  • We believe that God calls each of us to be His ambassadors to bring everyone to a saving knowledge of Jesus.

Who We Are: FPCMV is a body of believers, a praying community and we will pray for you, no matter who you are or where you are in your time of need.

FPCMV celebrates a rich history in proclaiming the Lord's Word for over 150 years. We are an evangelical Bible-based church blessed with lay leaders who energetically share their gifts and take the stewardship of our Church to heart.

We are a small church with a large sense of what it means to be disciples of Jesus Christ. We share our facilities with the Korean Church of Love and Open Door Church, a satellite campus of Menlo Park Presbyterian Church, with whom we've merged our Sunday School and Youth Programs.

Meeting around the Coffee Cart after worship and lunch on the first Sunday of the month are opportunities for us to catch up with each other.

We want to be a life-changing force for Jesus by meeting the needs of our community

We affirm the three tenets of the Confessing Church Movement: that Jesus alone is the world's Lord and Savior, that Scripture is the infallible rule of life and faith, and that God's standards for holy life have not been pre-empted by cultural changes.

1 Corinthians 10:31 and Romans 11:36 tell us that the purpose of all of life is to glorify God, our Creator and Redeemer. We attempt to make God's goodness and love more evident to all people by the things that we do at FPCMV.

Family, Friends and FAITH are this vision. We believe that the Gospel is the centerpiece of the life and ministry of the church. The Gospel is the Good News that God, in His infinite love, became a human like us in the person of Jesus in order to be our representative (Galatians 4:4-5). He lived a perfect life and, Jesus the Christ, instead of being ushered back into glory, died on our behalf, for our sins (John 1:29). The Gospel is the Good News that if we repent for our sins and put our trust in Christ, our sins are forgiven, we are adopted into God's family, and the Holy Spirit comes into our life to change us - making us more like Christ (Mark 1:14-15, 1 Peter 2:23-24, Romans 8:14-15). This is the Good News that the whole world needs to hear, and that we, as God's people, Jesus' family of believers, need to hear again and again. The Gospel is not only the way of entrance into the family of God; it is also the means of growth within that family.

We envision a changed world; going from "me" as a center to "what can I do for others?" That is why we are constantly looking for opportunities to bless our local community and the world. This is how God changes us and this is how God transforms the world, within our church Family.
